PIC stalls get good response

Amalapuram: Bharat Nirman-Public Information Campaign (PIC) which began in GMC Balayogi grounds here on Saturday has pulled large number of crowd.

A huge rally was taken out ahead of the inauguration of the five-day event.

The Press Information Bureau, Government of India in co-ordination with district administration, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, DAVP, Directorate of Field Publicity, Song and Drama Division, AIR, Doordarshan, DPD have organised the event.

The entire Exhibition has been divided into 5 sectors.

Union Minister of State for Health Panabaka Lakshmi inaugurated two houses among the five.

She inaugurated ‘Rajiv House’ which displayed IT related information and ‘Indira House’-on Health Services. Rajahmundry MP Vundavelli Arun Kumar inaugurated ‘Nehru House’- Human Resources, ZP chairman Ch. Venugopala Krishna inaugurated ‘Gandhi House’- arranged on Rural Development and DRDA and district Collector M. Subrahmanyam inaugurated fifth house named after Ambedkar on weaker sections.

Press Information Bureau Additional Director General M.V.S. Murthy, Vijayawada division in charge P. Bharatha Lakshmi, MLAs Rowthu Suryaprakasha Rao, Dr. B. Krishnarjuna Chowdary, Pamula Rajeswari, Dommeti Venkateswarlu, Pinipe Viswaroop, MLC Kandula Durgesh, Kakinada Mayor K. Saroja and Amalapuram Municipal Chairman Nalla Vishnu participated in inaugural session.

Rs.9 lakhs sanctioned

The main person behind this event and MP G.V. Harsha Kumar said that the Union Government has sanctioned Rs.9 lakhs for this five-day event and rest of the amount was supported by ONGC, GAIL, KIMS, GSPC and other public and private sector units. .
