KARIMNAGAR: The killing of two Indian students in the Louisiana State University is an insult to the US, which accords top priority for the protection of human life, said C. Vijaya Kumar, principal of SRR Degree and PG College in Karimnagar town on Saturday. Reacting to the killings, the principal said that Indians do not have any security in the US. Mr Vijaya Kumar’s son is also studying MS in California University. Priyanka, daughter of Narsimhadri, a lecturer in Karimnagar town, had completed all formalities was about to fly to the USA in the first week of January 2008. Ever since she watched the news about the killing of Indians, she was scared of studying in America. Kapil Bhargav, who is doing MS in New Paltz University near New York, told The Hindu over telephone that there are good and bad universities in USA. “The problem is with some of the blacks, who are illiterate and addicted to drugs. They create all the nuisance and resort to violent acts for the sake of money,” he complained. N. Srinivas, senior manager of Union Bank of India, Karimnagar branch, termed the killing incident as an unfortunate one in a developed country. His two sons studied and settled in the USA. S.
