RJD leader passes away

PATNA: Rajya Sabha member and RJD general secretary and spokesman Motiur Rehman,(58) died of a massive heart attack at his residence in Motihari, district headquarters of East Champaran, on Tuesday.

Elected to the Upper House in 2005, Mr. Rehman is survived by his wife, four daughters and two sons.

Railway Minister and RJD chief Lalu Prasad and Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly Rabri Devi condoled Mr. Rehman’s death. They said it was a big personal and political loss.
