Woman dies in wall collapse

KANCHEEPURAM: Ravakannu (54) of Chinnapoondi succumbed to injuries sustained in a wall collapse owing to heavy rain, on Wednesday.

According to police, the victim was cooking at around 4-30 p.m. on Tuesday when a portion of the mud wall in her house collapsed seriously injuring her. She was rushed to Chengalpattu Medical College Hospital, where she succumbed to injuries at around 7-30 a.m. on Wednesday.
