Tuticorin: The science and IT (Information Technology) clubs at Annammal College of Education for Women was inaugurated at a function held on the college premises here on Wednesday. College sources said that the science club was constituted with an objective to provide opportunities to students to develop their creativity. The IT club would give an impetus to learning through various e-tools. While the science club have 44 undergraduate students as its members, IT club have a membership of 175 students, who are pursuing undergraduate as well as post graduate courses in the college. J. Karpagajothi and A. Sathiya were nominated as chairpersons of science and IT clubs, respectively. Sources said that the science club would organize an array of exhibitions, quiz competitions and conduct industrial visit, to enhance the scientific knowledge of its members. The IT club would encourage the students to prepare scientific papers in less explored topics. The chief guest, R.
