IAF rides on Edwin’s strike

NEW DELHI: A 49th-minute strike by A. Edwin proved the match-winner as Indian Air Force (New Delhi) scored a 1-0 victory over Ahbab Club in a Group ‘B’ match of the SAIL-ONGC DSA senior division football league at the Ambedkar Stadium here on Thursday.

The victory took IAF’s tally to nine points from five matches. Ahbab has four points from five matches.

In Group ‘A,’ Indian Nationals Club held Tarun Sangha to a 1-1 draw. Both the teams have already ensured their place in the super league.
