Realtor murdered in Kushaiguda

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: A man in his late 40s was murdered in daylight at Kushaiguda on Friday, while a woman and her alleged paramour surrendered before elders admitting to her husband’s murder committed two days ago at Pahadisharief.

A real estate dealer, E. Chandraiah, going home on his bike was intercepted by three motorcycle-borne youth at G R Reddynagar near Kushaiguda.

While one assailant was revving the bike, the other two armed with an iron rod and a knife pounced on him. The duo attacked him brutally, inflicting more than 13 injuries on his body, and smashed his head.

Passerby scared away

“A passerby tried to intervene but was scared away by the killers,” the Malkajgiri ACP P. Ranga Rao said. Chandraiah, a native of Warangal, settled in Jai Jawannagar of Kushaiguda.

After doing some odd jobs, he entered the real estate business a few years ago and reportedly made money hand over fists.

Police are verifying reports that he earlier worked for a naxalite group. Investigators are clueless about the motive behind the murder and the identity of the killers.

In another case, Bhagyamma, along with her alleged paramour, Balakrishna, both in their mid-30s, surrendered before the elders of Jalpally village in Pahadisharief confessing to the killing of her husband, P. Narsimha (50). Narsimha, who works in a glass factory, had married Bhagyamma after his first wife died 15 years ago.

Bhagyamma warned

The woman allegedly developed a relationship with her husband’s friend, Balakrishna, of Saroornagar.

On learning about their intimacy, Narsimha warned his wife.

On returning home from work on Wednesday night, he got enraged on seeing his wife with Balakrishna.

After a quarrel with her husband over the incident, Bhagyamma left for her brother’s house. She returned late in the night along with Balakrishna.

They allegedly smothered Narsimha to death while he was asleep, locked the house and fled, police said.

The duo later surrendered before the village elders who handed them over to the Pahadisharief police.
