Woman, son succumb to burns

Two-year-old Shravan, who cuddled his mother Padma after she set herself ablaze in her residence at Shantinagar, Chandanagar on Friday, succumbed to injuries at the Gandhi Hospital on Saturday. Padma (25), however, died on the spot.

The police said Padma could have taken the drastic step following a family dispute.

Bank staffer dies in road accident

A 22-year-old woman died after she was run over by a RTC bus at Ameerpet on Saturday. S. Kalpana, a native of Kurnool district, was going to attend a training session in her office when the accident occurred.

She was staying at her relative’s house in Nizampet after getting a job in a private bank recently, according to police.
