Karur posts win

CHENNAI: Karur defeated Cuddalore 11-10 on the opening day of the State-level under-17 boys’ handball tournament at the Jaya College of Arts and Science near here on Sunday.

Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by Dr. R. Thirumalaisamy, Vice-Chancellor, Tamil Nadu Physical Education and Sports University.

The Chairman of Jaya Educational Trust, Prof. A. Kanagaraj, presided.

In all, 26 teams from all over the State are taking part.
