Gaya (Bihar): Drunken revellers misbehaved with a Father at a church in Gaya district on Monday forcing the suspension of the mass for an hour on Tuesday. The two men, reportedly in an inebriated state, misbehaved with Father Nicholas Purty, Chief Priest of North India Church, on Monday and again entered the premises on Tuesday to threaten him. The duo, identified as Sanjay and Deepu, also dared Father Purty to file a case against them. District Magistrate Jitendra Srivastava and Superintendent of Police Amit Jain reached the church and tightened the security in and around the premises. — PTI © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
