Tiruvannamalai takes trophy

CHENNAI: Tiruvannamalai won the first State-level handball championship (under-17 boys) held here.

In the final, Tiruvannamalai defeated Coimbatore 13-12 after leading 5-4 at the half-way stage. In all 26 teams had taken part.

R. Arumugam, DIG of Police, CB-CID, Chennai, was the chief guest on the final day.
