Adivasi activist, 4 others nabbed in Assam

Dibrugarh (Assam): Five activists of the All-Adivasi National Liberation Army, including its self-styled area commander, were nabbed by the Army in upper Assam’s Tinsukia district on Tuesday. They were held from different places by the 2 Bihar Regiment, and arms seized, defence sources said.

They were identified as self-styled Area Commander Akash Tirkey alias Daniel Ekka and cadres Dhoni Oraon, Chandan Bhumis, Thomas Kerketta and Samanan Tati alias Raju Tati. — PTI
