TAMBARAM: A team of three IAS officers reviewed the development projects at different places in Kancheepuram district on Wednesday.

T.V. Somanathan, Secretary to Chief Minister (Monitoring), Kancheepuram Collector Santhosh K. Misra and Additional Collector Archana Patnaik reviewed the progress of the colour TV sets scheme at Meenambakkam.

Officials of the Directorate of Town Panchayats visited the Zero Waste Centre in Pammal, where the municipality, the Exnora and the Pepsico have joined hands to convert kitchen waste into manure.

Engineers of the Highways Department informed Mr. Somanathan that the construction of the bridge could be speeded up if the land necessary for the project was acquired at the earliest.
