Bangalore: It is a befitting way to tell the soldiers guarding our borders in difficult conditions that we care. And for that reason Sankalp India Foundation, a voluntary youth organisation have decided to launch “Mission Siachen,” through which messages would be sent to soldiers posted at the Siachen in the eastern Karakoram range of the Himalayas. “We want to show them that people in our country really care for the soldiers. We will send postcards which will be signed by people and we want to plan it in such a way that each soldier will receive a postcard,” said Maya and Jayanti, students of M.S. MSRIT and volunteers with Sankalp India. As part of this, Sankalp India Foundation, is organising signature campaigns in Garuda Mall and Big Bazaar, Hebbal on BEL Ring Road between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. “We want people to come and sign the postcards and show their solidarity,” the girls said.
