New York: Two Indian-American brothers, who were mauled by a 350-pound tiger in a San Francisco zoo on Christmas day, were discharged from hospital on Saturday. Amritpal and Kulbir Dhaliwal lost their 17-year-old friend Carlos Sousa Jr. in the incident.
Police first did not believe reports that the animal was on the loose and considered it the ravings of a deranged person. When the first responders arrived at the zoo they were kept out as it was placed in lockdown condition and thus time was wasted while Sousa lay bleeding. — PTI © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
