Plea to ban footwear for Tirumala trekkers

The State Veddera Yuvajana Poraata Samithi has called upon the TTD to impose a ban on pilgrims using footwear while trekking Tirumala as it amounts to sacrilege under the Hindu Sastras and Puranas.
