ERODE: The Erode District Collector received 293 petitions on Monday at the grievances day meeting at the Collectorate.

Most of the petitions related to old age pension, free land and house patta, bank loan and self-employment loan.

On receiving a petition from Srirangan (21) of Karungalpalayam, a physically challenged person who had lost two legs after being hit by a train when crossing a railway line, the Collector verified the petition and directed the Rehabilitation Department to give him a tri-cycle.

On this a tri-cycle was presented to Srirangan within an hour.
