Jamshedpur: At least three persons were killed and 20 injured when a bus collided head-on with a truck on the Ranchi-Tata National Highway in Sareikela-Kharsawan district on Tuesday, police said. The drivers of both the vehicles and a passenger of the bus, died soon after the accident, sources said adding all the injured have admitted to a hospital in the city. The bus left Raniganj near in Asansol in West Bengal. It was carrying the passengers to a picnic spot at Dimina when the mishap occurred on the National Highway under Chandil police station, about 25 km from here. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
