DEHRA DUN: The Bhuwan Chandra Khanduri Government appointed 23 Bharatiya Janata Party and two Uttarakhand Kranti Dal leaders as heads of various Boards and Corporations, ending the long wait for these posts considered lucrative by many. The appointments have come without the tag of a Minister’s status but carry necessary allowances and facilities. Some more leaders will be accommodated in similar positions soon, it was told. The appointees include former Minister, Mohan Singh Rawat ‘Gaonwasi’ as Vice-Chairman of the State Planning Commission, Manohar Kant Dhyani as Vice-Chairman of the 20-Point Programme Implementation Committee, Puran Chandra Sharma as Chairman of the Krishi Mandi Samiti, Balraj Pasi as Chairman of the State Seeds and Organic Production Certification Agency and Nirupama Gaur as the Chairperson of State Social Welfare Committee.
