Three held for truck driver’s murder

NEW DELHI: Three young men have been arrested by the South Delhi police in connection with the murder of a truck driver here a few days ago.

According to the police, Gaffoora (20), Riyazuddin (30) and Allel (32) strangled Manvir of Badarpur on December 27 to rob him of a few thousand rupees. The three dumped the body near Jheel Khurd Mandir in Mehrauli and decamped with the truck and cash.

The body was found by the police over the weekend and the accused were tracked down with the help of a cash memo of Shanti Service Station found in the pocket of the deceased.
