SANGAREDDY: Medak Zilla Parishad chairman M. Balaiah suspended Telugu Desam ZPTC members from the general body meeting here on Saturday following angry protests by the TDP floor leader and Dubbaka ZPTC Bakki Venkataiah. Bakki, who was furious about the alleged lopsided allocation of rural road maintenance funds favouring Congress members, hurled papers on the chairman and the Medak Joint Collector Ramshankar Nayak. He shouted slogans that the chairman sold the funds to Congress members for the sake percentages. He sat in the well of the house and obstructed the house from proceeding further. AltercationCongress members intervened and demanded for the suspension of the TDP members for hindering the business of the house. Altercation between the members of both the parties forced the chairman to suspend the TDP members for the rest of the day. He also adjourned the general body meeting for lunch. However the TDP members lead by Bakki Venkataih returned after the lunch and continued their protest. Efforts of the police to remove the TDP members failed. At this stage Medak legislator P.Sasidhar Reddy and TRS legislators Padma Devender Reddy and Ramalinga Reddy urged the chairman to revoke the suspension.
