GUNTUR: the Bharatiya Janata Party will come to power in the 2009 general elections, predicted former Sikkim Governor and party State president V. Rama Rao, addressing party leaders and workers here on Saturday. The two major electoral victories in the country in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh recently had proved people were with the BJP and in all the elections scheduled during the current year party workers must work with dedication and coordination. Party ideology was the key to success and they should not shun for self goals, he opined. Victory meetParticipating in the victory conference arranged by the district and city units of the party here, he said that more number of new parties were welcome both in State and at national level. It woiuld would provide a level playing field and better choice to the people in electing the right kind of people, he said. Indicating that the BJP was not bothered about the entry of Chiranjeevi into politics, he said that BJP was an established all India party and had improved its position even in Andhra Pradesh, so was not worried about the entry the cine star nor BSP’s bid to enter Andhra Pradesh politics.
