Replica of Amarnath shrine at expo

NELLORE: For all those who wished to see the Amarnath shrine, but their plans never materialised, here is a chance to experience the holy journey.

A huge set of Amarnath cave has been put up at Y.M.C.A Grounds as part of the Handloom Handicraft Fun Fair Exhibition that started from Friday.

“The model, which is an exact replica of Amarnath cave, is made of Plaster of Paris. It is 327-foot long and 182-foot wide and set up at a cost of more than Rs. 70 lakh,” claimed managing director M. Raja Reddy.

Moreover, it has taken nearly a month to erect the huge structure as around 300 artistes from Tamil Nadu were involved.
