KOZHIKODE: A selection examination for students’ participation in the Kerala Science Congress will be held at the Government Model Higher Secondary School here on January 12.

Students from classes 8 to Plus Two can take the examination. The congress will be held from January 28 to 31 in Thiruvananthapuram.

M.A. Johnson, District Coordinator, National Green Corps, said one of the objectives of the annual congress was to encourage effective participation of young talents in research and development in the State.

It was planned to give an opportunity to brilliant students from the districts to participate and present their scientific works in the congress.

The winners of the test, along with select students (15 from each district) from schools under the corps, would be invited to take part in the programme.

Students are requested to be present at 2 p.m. on January 12 at the test venue with identification certificates from the heads of institution.
