Dubbed, remade films not eligible

Objections invited from the people


BANGALORE: Producers of 58 Kannada films have approached the Department of Information for grant of subsidy, for 2006-2007.

Films that are dubbed from other languages or had been remade are not eligible for subsidy, and objections, if any, are invited from the public. Objections should reach the Commissioner, Information Department, 2nd Floor, BMTC Building, Bangalore, on or before January 15.

The films

The films are Sevanti Sevanti, News, Hatavadi, Shishya, Datta, Miss California, Bellibetta, Goodluck, Mata, Tirupati, Gandugali Kumara Rama, C/o Footpath (children’s film), Tavarina Siri, Shubham, Jackpot, Jothejotheyali, Student, Avanendare Avne, Kannadada Kanda, Mohini, Tananam Tananam, Ambhi, Chellata, Autograph Please, Mungaru Male, Arasu, Tayiya Madilu, Sixer, Kallarali Hoovagi, Hennige Rakshane Yellide, Masanada Makkalu, Duniya, Bhoopati, Koti Chennaiah (Tulu), Poojary, Ondu Preetiya Kathe, Kadabeladingalu, Desi, SMS 6260, Naaga, Ashoka, O Prema Devate, Police Story 2, Putani Force A to Z (children’s film), Balaji, Nagehabba, Dadagiri, Vidyarthi, Tangi Mane, Sri Kshetra Kaivara Thataiah, Suntaragaali, Mannina Makkalu (chidlren’s film), Nanna Kanasina Hoove, Badi (Tulu), Cyanide, Shambhu and Chaitra (children’s film), according to a release.
