The delay in issuance of certificates is affecting their future studies
Seeking justice: School sudents belonging to Adiyan community at the Krishangiri Collectorate on Monday. – Krishnagiri: School students of Adiyan community in Boganapalli asked the district administration to take steps to issue community certificates immediately. Members of the community claimed that revenue officials were refusing to issue community certificates to school Schedule Tribes students. As a result, students here were unable to pursue their higher education. They said their relatives in Villupuram district were issued the certificates. EssentialWith majority of the members’ daily wage earners, the certificates were essential for the children to pursue higher education. Students complain that because of the delay their future was at stake. Because of this problem they could not gain entry into good courses and as well as employment. The community certificates, which are sent for verification by the concerned education institutions and government departments, are rejected by the authorities on one pretext or the other. Petition submittedEven if the required details are provided the community certificates fail to come forth. Despite repeated representations to the tahsildar and Revenue Divisional Officer officials here had not taken efforts to issue the community certificates, they added.
