TIRUCHI: Those aspiring to build houses in Tiruchi, Perambalur and Pudukottai districts have good news: they can avail themselves of the free technical consultancy services in ascertaining the quality of reinforcement material from UltraTech Cement. UltraTech Cement, as part of its ‘product plus’ services, has introduced a mobile concrete testing laboratory to ascertain the quality of reinforcement and to guide those building houses about its quality.

Addressing the media after launching the laboratory here, senior vice-president of UltraTech Cement B. Venugopal said the value-added services would include concrete tube testing facility and all customer-oriented services.

Civil engineers would conduct field visits and create awareness among the individual house-builders on the important aspects of building material in order to ensure quality in construction. The non-destructive testing of the reinforcement was the salient feature of the service.
