The police resorted to lathicharge in Narsipatnam on Thursday to disperse students of Government ITI who were protesting near the RDO office demanding that the new building for the ITI be built only on a site allotted for it under Balighattam panchayat. Three students were injured and several others were arrested. The work could not be taken up as local Congress leaders occupied it, alleged CPI district secretary J.V. Satyanarayana Murthy.
