‘Vivekananda an inspiration for youth’

BANGALORE: Governor Rameshwar Thakur said here on Saturday that the country was proud of Swami Vivekananda who had inspired generations of youth.

He was speaking at the National Youth Day celebrations organised by Vishwa Manava Swami Vivekananda Pratima Pratisthapana Samiti Trust, in association with Ramakrishna Math.

Later, the Governor visited the book exhibition on the math premises where he was presented with a portrait of Swami Vivekananda.

In his presidential address, Swami Harshananda of the math spoke about the services of Swami Vivekananda to the country in particular and the world in general.
