SHGs put up ‘Pretty women collection’ show

HYDERABAD: A collection of garments reflecting latest trends and designs for Indian women, ‘Pretty Women Collection’ is on at Galleria Raphael in Amrutha Mall, Punjagutta.

The exhibition of designer suits, tops and accessories put up by various women self help groups is a determined effort to incorporate Indian designs and fabric in the present day fashion, said Deepti Kopali, who helped the SHG women to produce and market their garments under the label ‘Deepti Collections’.

The three-day exhibition was inaugurated by wife of Consul General Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Ravish.

“Prominent NGOs like Sanjeevani and Sahiti and some women empowerment groups in New Delhi and Mumbai are promoting the garments produced by SHGs under this label,” said Deepthi.

The exhibition will conclude on Sunday and the timings are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
