Surgeon held on molestation charge

Mumbai: Vijay Sharma, a cosmetic surgeon, was arrested for allegedly molesting a 20-year-old reporter, working for a private news channel, in his clinic in a northwest suburb here on Saturday.

Dr. Sharma, according to a police complaint, asked the reporter to come to his clinic at Khar after she contacted him some days ago to know about a specific treatment procedure.

She was working on a story on cosmetic surgery.

He was arrested under Sections 354 (outraging the modesty of a woman) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code. — PTI
