Contests for students

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Forest and Education departments will jointly organise competitions in poetry and essay writing for students of Class V to IX who are members of the ‘Ente maram’ scheme. The poems should be on the theme ‘Ente maram’ and not exceed 40 lines. The topic for the essay is ‘Global warming — tree is the reply’ and should not exceed four pages. The entries certified by the Headmaster should reach the Additional Principal Chief Forest Conservator (Social Forestry), Forest Headquarters, Vazhuthacaud, Thiruvananthapuram 14, by January 31.
