Grant for bus stand expansion

CHENNAI: Local Administration Minister M.K. Stalin on Monday handed over a cheque for Rs.3.30 crore to the Palani Municipal Chairman on behalf of Dandayuthapani Swami Temple, Palani, for expansion of the local bus stand.

The work is estimated to cost Rs.6.60 crore, of which the temple will bear 50 per cent.Earlier, the Minister held discussions with officials of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments and the Municipal Chairman on various civic aspects of the municipality, according to an official press release. — Special Correspondent
