ERODE: Following the outbreak of bird flu in West Bengal, Forest officials have stepped up vigil at the Vellode bird sanctuary. Divisional Forest Officer V. S. Malik said the department staff, along with officials from the Department of Animal Husbandry, were visiting the sanctuary everyday and checking any abnormal behaviour of birds.
