Minor raped

A nine-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a petrol bunk worker Praveen, 22, at a secluded place in Malkaram under Alwal police station limits area on Saturday night.

According to the police, the accused lured the girl, daughter of a gardener living at Rajiv Gandhinagar huts, to Malkaram around 7 p.m. and sexually assaulted her.

The Inspector S. Damodar said a hunt was launched to nab Praveen.

Auto driver suffers cardiac arrest, dies

An auto-rickshaw driver was killed and two others suffered injuries in a road accident near Clock Tower in Secunderabad on Saturday. Mohammed Yousuf (45), a resident of Moulali, lost control over the vehicle after he developed cardiac problem and in the process rammed into two pedestrians.

He was declared brought dead to a nearby hospitalwhile pedestrians escaped with minor injuries, according to police.
