Sale of meat banned

The Corporation has banned slaughter of animals, birds and sale of meat on Vallalar’s death anniversary that falls on January 23, and Mahatma Gandhi’s death anniversary on January 30. It has ordered the closure of slaughterhouses and shops selling meat, beef and pork on these days.
