Taxi owners oppose life tax

VIJAYAWADA: The Vijayawada Taxi Owners’ Welfare Association has submitted a memorandum to the government urging it to exempt taxies from paying life tax and scrap the ordinance issued on January 2, 2008.

Informing this to newsmen here on Wednesday, association general secretary M. Ramagopal Rao said that Transport Minister Kanna Lakshminarayana assured them that old taxies would be exempted from life tax.
