BJP to form ‘Telangana Dandu’

Mahbubnagar: BJP State president Bandaru Dattatreya announced that his party would form ‘Telangana Dandu’ on the lines of ‘Rama Dandu’ with youth in every village ready to fight for separate statehood for Telangana region.

Addressing a public meeting at Shakhapoor village of Pebbair mandal in the district on Friday after launching the signature drive for Telangana in Alampoor constituency under “Palle Pallelo Telangana Kranti – Santhakala Sankranti", he said that Telangana Dandu teams would be formed in every village in all the Telangana districts to spearhead the struggle.

The Telangana Dandu volunteers of respective villages will inculcate and implant Telangana spirit in every villager so that they become hardcore separatists.

Launching a tirade against Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, Dattatreya said that the Chief Minister is abetting his Cabinet members against Telangana separatists to defuse the sentiment.

The BJP leader reiterated that the Chief Minister is the only hurdle for granting Telangana by the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government.
