4.14 cr. spent on infrastructure so far: Collector Protected drinking water for 710 habitations Sangareddy: Medak Collector B.Venkatesam in his Republic Day speech here on Saturday announced that the district would soon have a textile park in Patancheru mandal which would be established at a cost of Rs. 11.02 crore. He said that the 100 per cent exported-oriented park would make Turkey towels providing direct and indirect employment to 11.350 weavers in the district. Already Rs. 4.14 crore has been spent on infrastructure, he added. The Collector enlisted various ongoing projects and said that the protected drinking water scheme meant to provide water to 710 habitations in Gajwel, Narsapur and Dommata Assembly segments has been progressing on a steady pace in addition to the Chekrial, Medak, Kondapur, and Dubbaka drinking water schemes. In all Rs. 5.94 crore has been released to the Panchayats for maintenance of existing water works, flushing of bore wells in time to tackle the summer season water shortage. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
