An amount of Rs. 4.05 lakhs kept under lock and key was stolen from a nursing home at Krishnanagar near Collector’s Office.

G. Sridhar, a doctor, kept the money in an iron chest and locked it in an almirah on Saturday night. He was at the nursing home till past midnight. When the almirah was opened in the morning, the money was gone and there was no sign of breaking the lock.
