BANGALORE: The Karnataka Janapada and Yakshagana Academy will present the awards for 2007 on February 3 at 6 p.m. at Ravindra Kalakshetra. On the occasion, special prizes will be presented to two senior folk artistes, annual awards to 31 artistes, and an award for the organisation working in the field of folk art. Chandrashekar Kambar, litterateur, will present the awards. Keremane Shanbu Hedge, president of the academy, will preside over the function. — Staff Reporter
