Eradicate mosquito menace

Mosquitoes cause not only malaria and dengue, but are carriers of many other diseases. The Government should concentrate more on destroying mosquitoes by supplying more anti-larvae chemicals and appoint more health staff for the purpose. Slums should be given priority and it should be a continuous programme.

Revamp drains

With rapid urbanization, the land available for infiltration of rain water is decreasing. Several drains, small and big, are either stagnant or filled with plastic waste, debris, etc. These drains need to be revamped without affecting the flow of water and to make them environmentally acceptable.
