NEW DELHI: Union Minister of Shipping, Road Transport and Highways T. R. Baalu has approved Rs. 13.611 crore for procuring ambulances and cranes under the National Highways Accident Relief Service Scheme. Mr. Baalu also approved over Rs. 8.52 crore for procuring 100 ambulances in 21 States. Ambulances, numbering 96, are proposed to be given to the Police and Transport Departments of 21 States viz. Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chandigarh, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Orissa, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tripura, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. 4 NGOs to get ambulance
