Nightmare for road users

The Tarnaka-Uppal stretch at Secunderabad has this knack of troubling commuters, rather frequently. Ironically, the troubles are due to developmental works taken up without giving much thought to safety or comfort of the commuter.

For over a year, commuters suffered due to dug-up stretch, thanks to water board. Recently, the stretch was given a fresh coat of blacktop. However, the joy was short-lived, as huge private tourist vehicles have started parking there eating into precious road-space. This has once again led to gridlocks.

Authorities tried to improve road-dividers recently. However, the uncleared debris from the dividers became a major problem. Now, the authorities are trying to widen the road. Tree-cutting is already leading to roadblocks. Another year-long road-widening works means, another year of immense suffering for users.
