Protests over road widening works

Federation of Associations of Colonies and Apartments on Saturday demanded that the GHMC stop road widening on the 8-kilometre stretch of Tarnaka-Habsiguda-Uppal Cross Roads up to Nagole Bridge as “it would affect many flat owners and businessmen”. About 1,000 families and businesses, many of who are staying for decades will be affected with the proposed widening of inner ring road, a press note from the federation said. None of them have so far got any compensation, it added.
