Members of the Visakhapatnam district unit of the BMS led by its president K. Bhavani Shankarudu staged dharna at the offices of the EPDCL CMD and Deputy Commissioner of Labour demanding immediate payment of pending salaries to the EPDCL shift operators in 33/11 KV sub-stations at Anakapalle and Paderu divisions.

In a memo to the EPDCL CMD, the BMS pointed out that salaries were not paid to contract workers for last few months.
