Aspen Crew, ACE chalk up wins

NEW DELHI: Tarun Sirohi scored three goals as Aspen Crew defeated Sahgal Stud 4 goals to 1-1/2 in the Field Marshal Cariappa Cup two-goal polo tournament at the Army Equestrian Centre, Delhi Cantonment.

In another match, ACE beat Kings by 5 goals to 3-1/2, thanks to two goals each by N.S. Khera and Deepak Yadav.

Ranjit Singh tournament

The fourth all-India Maharaja Ranjit Singh hockey tournament will be held at the Shivaji Stadium in New Delhi from February 18 to 27.

Leading teams like Indian Airlines, Air Idia, BPCL, Namdhari XI, Punjab and Sind Bank, Punjab National Bank and Indian Oil are scheduled to compete in the tournament.

The torunament carries a purse of Rs. 100,000 for the winner and Rs. 50,000 for the runner-up.
