“Among all public transport projects, BRTS is the least capital-intensive. It aims at increasing the number of people who would like to use public transport and also the speed of traffic. The project is on schedule. The detailed project report for the proposed flyover at Benz Circle is expected to be ready by April 15. The APSRTC will, meanwhile, be going ahead with purchasing the required fleet. We’ve also made a few changes in the alignment so as to include the colonies on the outer boundary of Autonagar. The idea is to make the project beneficial to as many people as possible.”
