‘HOPE 2008’ from today

Manipal: Students of Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration (WGSHA) will organise a two-day charity event, “HOPE 2008”, here from Saturday.

Addressing presspersons here on Thursday, the heads of “HOPE”, Varun Mohan and Rishika Sharma, said that the proceeds from this year’s event would be donated to Shirdi Saibaba Cancer Endowment Fund, Haemophilic Society, rehabilitation homes and other local charitable institutions. “HOPE 2008” would include Fleet of Flames (a dance competition), Vogue (fashion show), Battle of Rhythm Gods (DJ competition), Voltage (the rock show) and Gastronomic Route (food stalls). M.V. Kamath, chairman, Prasar Bharati, will distribute the HOPE 2008 proceeds to charitable institutions on Sunday.
