Solve problems of rural masses, law students told

Staff Reporter

Kakinada: Additional district judge B Nagamaruti Sarma on Monday exhorted students of law to help solve the problems of people in rural areas and observed that rapid urbanisation was making their lives miserable.

Changing trends

Speaking at the valedictory of legal awareness camp jointly conducted by Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Law (RGIL) and NSS at Tammavaram on Monday, Mr. Sarma said the law students should acquaint themselves with the social and legal perspectives of changing trends in society, particularly in the rural areas and contribute their mite to improving the living standards.

People in urban areas were indebted to the rural folks who feed the country by spending their energies and money in agricultural fields, he added.

Junior civil judges J Sambasiva and P Bhaskar Rao said more awareness needed to be spread about the welfare schemes being implemented by the governments.

RGIL Principal P.V. Trinadh, Vice-Principal V Jagannadh, NSS programme officer A Srinivas and others were present.
